I work in an oncology ward and see daily the strain put on cancer sufferers and especially their families. On tuesday a good friend of mine, one of our patients, suffering from a very aggressive strain of lymphoma died after a year long battle with the disease. It means so much to me that everyone puts so much time and effort into the event which furthers research so that we can hopefully cure this heartbreaking disease. |
