I don't know if Romscout is still in the room, but he may remember me from years ago as Jeff who was making Enigmatic Mario. Just wanted to let him know I wasn't dead and congrats on the SotN race; I was very impressed! Whenever the schedule for the marathons is released, Yoshi's Island is the first game I look for and plan my entire week around being available to watch it live. The funniest thing I saw last GDQ was the guy with the accordion guy during Trihex's run; I won't spoil it in case anyone hasn't seen it, but it still makes me laugh every time I see it. I have a coworker who has been battling stage 4 breast cancer for the past 3 1/2 years and so I see the effects of cancer every day, and it's hard to see. I've also known 3 people who have died in the last 2 years from it, so I can't think of a better way to donate my money than here. Anyway, sorry for writing a novel, but thank you everyone who make this event possible, good luck to all the rest of the runners, and Trihex, try to keep your shirt on this year. |
