Hey there AGDQ! Long time viewer, long time donator, etcetera. I've watched GDQ for years, and always appreciate what you all do for the charities these events support. This year, the event hits a little closer to home. My dad lost his nearly decade-long fight with cancer in April 2017. Through the remission periods, the chemo, the alternative treatment, I always thought he would make it longer, and be here to see me buy my first house in June, get married this upcoming October, and so many more things. It's hard to think that there are many things he won't see, and I wish that no one else would have to go through. Hopefully through events like this, and the support of you all, that could become a reality. This donation is in his honor. He always believed that money given to others who need it was the best way to spend money. I hope to continue that tradition for as long as possible. I love you Dad, and I miss you. Let's hit that million, and wipe out cancer. |
