When I got into watching speedruns, it was something I was into alone. When my wife and I first met in person, I showed them some of my favorites, and they got into it too. Every GDQ event after that, we scheduled around an 8 hour time difference to watch the marathon together. This year, we are watching together, and today... we got married!!! And after all of our bursting into City Escape, reciting the Faker Speech together, and joking about appending an "& Knuckles" to our wedding invitations, we are able to sit together and watch an event live. Thanks GDQ, for the cause, the games, and the happy memories! Here’s to many, many more. |
