When I created this event a hundred years ago, we made a total of 8 pounds and 44 shillings in donations, speedplaying classics such as Checkers and Othello. Now we're almost at two million dollars! Does that much money even exist? It must be a veritable mountain of sixpence! I wish to thank you all for carrying on my legacy, although I still yearn to see Backgammon back on the game list one day. Ta-ta! |
