It's not my first time donating to a GDQ event, but this year it's a far more personal thing than it was in the past. Early last year, my mother was diagnosed with cancer. After months of radiation and chemo, this was her first week back at work! While we don't always get along—after all, what kids and parents do?—I'm super proud of all the hard work she's put in towards her recovery and it's awesome to see her going back to the thing she loves. Good luck to all the runners, and thank you to everyone at the event for making AGDQ the wonderful, classy experience that it always is. Donation goes to runner's choice. |
