OK, sorry for the long one, but it's time to share my story. On the Friday of AGDQ 2018, I went to hospital and was diagnosed with APML, a rare type of leukemia. I remember my AGDQ viewing experience got utterly interrupted by this diagnosis. Two weeks later influenza hit me, and I was rendered with lung failure plus kidney failure, and was put in the ICU, on a breathing tube for nine days straight. When I woke up, I lost my voice, and couldn't move due to the losing of nearly 60% of my muscle. Fast forward 3 months - I was trying to learn to walk again. I tried to collect the only 3 moons left in Odyssey, only to find I totally lost my touch with a controller. Fast forward another 6 months - I'm up and running again, regained my voice, got the 999 moons, and qualified my self as someone who fought off cancer! That year of mine still feels like a bad joke, but I guess that's what we all do. We fight, and we fight, and we win.
