My mother was diagnosed with cancer almost 12 years ago. The first chemo therapy appeared to be successfull but only two years later the cancer came back and the doctors gave her 2 years to live at best. It was then that one of the doctors told her that she met all the criteria to receive a new, promising medication. The cancer cells have still not completely left her body and did damage to her lungs and heart, but she is still alive today and can live her life as normally as any healthy person (of course with some restrictions) and she is still a source of happiness and joy to everyone around her. I thank everyone who is participating in this event to collect money that might do the same for other people in the future from the bottom of my heart. Advances in medicine are always made but only if awesome events like these keep happening and people are willing to get behind such a good cause. Thank you. |
