I've been watching GDQs for a while now, but in the last couple years this cause has been pretty personal. I was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer in late 2019 at the age of 29. For about 10 months I was blood transfusion dependent which I can assure you is a terrible situation. I'm fairly lucky though as I've responded well to my medications but I still can't live totally symptom free nor is there currently a real cure for what I have outside of a stem cell transplant which itself is not a great option for me personally. While PCF's goals aren't necessarily helpful in cases like mine, I can definitely support their goals especially if it helps people like me in the future.Best of luck to the runners for the rest of the marathon and thank you to all the staff, commentators and runners for a great week and a great cause.
